We customise, set up and manage innovation laboratories to rethink products, services, management systems and business models based on the wisdom of the crowd. Game changing innovation is not a matter of chance.
After more than ten years of collaboration with leading edge institutions for collective intelligence (e.g. MIT Center for Collective Intelligence), entrepreneurship (e.g. University Witten/Herdecke), service design (e.g. Cologne University of Applied Sciences), and business ethics (University of Bayreuth, Philosophy and Economics) we know how to design and lead projects to maximise your benefits.

Crowdsourcing is a definition composed of crowd and outsourcing. It aimes at the value creation of as many participants as possible or desired. The crowd of people is selected in regards to the goal to achieve and is usually diversified across hierarchis, functions, geograhpies, gender, age and other social backgrounds. There is no limit to the amount of possible participants.
Crowdsourcing is an interactive, discursive form of large scale cooperation, which can also contain competitive elements, like a contest for the best idea. In a crowdsourcing project, information is first collected and then evaluated in such a way that the collective intelligence of the people drives innovation, engagement, learning, and predictions.
Our 1492.// methods of collective intelligence use this wisdom of the crowds most effectively. Therefore the results are valid and very robust, given that enough people participate under the following conditions:
?Diversity – In a sufficiently large group, the spectre of opinions follows normal distribution and cancels extremes and errors out.
?Independence – The individual opinions are not influenced by the opinion of the group.
?Transparent goal – Everybody knows what the target setting is and can thus contribute at max.
?Fast feedback – Strong responsiveness foster the interactive communication between the different stakeholders and initiators.
